PRINCIPAL, CYBER SEED INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
Kim is a principal at Blu Venture Investors and serves on the Cyber Seed investment committee. He is a managing partner at Brilliant Keypoint Investments, LLC. Previously, he was chief business development officer at Pragmatics, Inc, a Federal IT services contractor. His expertise is company scaling, go-to-market strategy, and leadership. He managed software development and testing programs of more than 100 people. He is on the board or the BVI lead of 5 companies. He received his B.A. in Economics from Harvard and a Ph.D in Economics from UC Berkeley.
As an investor, Kim looks for companies with management teams that include business, sales, and technical background, as well as domain expertise and a passion to solve a business problem, with realistic, in depth go-to-market strategies and revenue projections.

What advice would you give to startups?
Be very judicious in your expenditures. Make sure all of your staff are highly productive. Be very responsive to the market and what customers want. Be prepared to pivot your strategy according to what the market is telling you.
