Background
Marcos Torres is the former CFO at Huntress. During his tenure of over 5 years, he built the Finance and Operations team to support the company in its next wave of growth and prepare it for an IPO, with the company growing 23x and achieving both centaur and unicorn status in 2024. Marcos is a seasoned executive, early-stage investor, and long-time entrepreneur with over a decade of experience helping businesses succeed by ensuring their Strategy, Finance, and Operations work together cohesively. He has worked with businesses of all sizes, from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies. Still, his passion lies in partnering with driven entrepreneurs to bring their visions to life. Before joining Huntress, Marcos was VP of Finance and Business Operations at Nava PBC, where he partnered with the executive team to execute strategies that drove triple-digit growth.
Additionally, Marcos held key roles at Pendrell Corporation, a publicly traded intellectual property investment company focused on technology portfolios, and Edgenuity (now ImagineLearning), a KKR SaaS portfolio company in partnership with WeldNorth Education, focused on EdTech. Marcos graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2006, and holds an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, California, as well as the CFO Programme from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He has also held several volunteer leadership positions, most recently as the Treasurer of the USC Alumni Club of DC and Phoenix.
